Alkpote

Atef Kahlaoui (February 3, 1981), better known as Alkpote, is a French rapper from Évry. Born into a Tunisian family, he began rapping at the age of 15 and joined the hip hop collective Unité 2 Feu, whose debut album Haine, Misère et Crasse (2006) enjoyed a great deal of popularity within the underground rap scene. Alkpote made his official debut as a solo artist with the mixtape Sucez-moi Avant l'Album (2007), followed by his first studio full-length L’Empereur in 2008. Follow-up mixtapes Alkpote et la Crème du 91 (2009) and Alkpote et la Crème d'Île 2 France (2010) only heightened the buzz surrounding him, setting the stage for his 2012 release L'Empereur Contre-attaque. After threatening to quit the music industry, Alkpote returned with the mixtapes L'Orgasmixtape (2014) and L'Orgasmixtape, Vol. 2 (2015). In 2016, the rapper collaborated with rap group Butter Bullets on the album Ténébreuse Musique and dropped the full-length Sadisme et Perversion alongside DJ Weedim. Subsequently, Alkpote continued his winning streak with the LPs Inferno (2018) and Monument (2019), which featured guest spots by Philippe Katerine, Roméo Elvis, Kaaris, and Kalash Criminel. A fifth album titled Ogre arrived in 2021 via the label Arista France.
