Alkaline

Earlan Bartley, known professionally as Alkaline, was born 19 December 1993 in Kingston, Surrey, Jamaica, and began his career as a singer and songwriter. He entered the music scene in 2011, recording tracks such as "Proof" and "Mi Love Woman" while still in school, and released his first mixtape Raw as Eva in 2014 under Tad's Record. Alkaline’s breakthrough came with the 2016 album New Level Unlocked, which topped the Billboard Reggae Charts for 18 weeks and earned a nomination for a MOBO Award. Subsequent albums Top Prize (2021) and NPT (2026) continued his chart presence, with Top Prize reaching Number 2 on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart. His singles "Juggernaut" (2018) and "Things Mi Love" (2019) received international airplay, and collaborations with artists such as Sean Kingston and Spice expanded his reach. Alkaline has also headlined multiple New Rules Festivals worldwide and received recognition from the Jamaican State Senate for his contributions to Jamaican music.
