Alirio Martín Díaz Leal, born on November 12, 1923 in Carora, Venezuela, was a classical guitarist. He began his musical education at age three and later studied under Laudelino Mejías in Trujillo. In September 1945, he moved to Caracas to study at the Escuela Superior de Música José Ángel Lamas. Díaz gained recognition through recitals starting in 1950, including performances at the Biblioteca Nacional de Caracas. He traveled to Europe in July 1950 for further studies and performed at venues such as the Ateneo de Madrid. In Italy, he studied under Andrés Segovia at the Accademia Chigiana. Díaz embarked on extensive tours across five continents, collaborating with conductors like Sergiu Celibidache and Leopold Stokowski. His discography includes Récital de Guitare No 1 (1956) and Guitarra De Venezuela (1957). He passed away in Rome, Italy on July 5, 2016.
