Alicia Kao

Sammi Kao, born January 27, 1969, in Fengshan, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese singer. She began her music career in 1987 after being signed by What's Music following an audition. Her debut album Yuan marked the start of her musical journey. In 1988, her album Speak of My Dream gained popularity in both Taiwan and Mainland China. Kao released several notable albums, including Where Seagulls Fly, Colorful Clouds Fly (1989), and "Waiting For A Thousand Years" (1992), a theme song for the TV series New Legend of Madame White Snake. In 1992, she won Best Female Mandarin Singer at the Fourth Golden Melody Awards.
