Alexa Weber Morales

Alexa Weber Morales, born in Berkeley, California, is a Grammy Award-winning salsa jazz singer-songwriter. She began studying classical piano at age five and gave her first solo vocal performance at Malcolm X Elementary School. She briefly majored in languages at Bryn Mawr College but dropped out in her second year, then worked various jobs while performing in local venues. Her debut album Jazzmérica, produced by Wayne Wallace, was released in October 2004 under Crazy Monkey Productions. In 2007, she signed to Patois Records and co-produced her second album, Vagabundeo/Wanderings, with Wallace. She joined the Pacific Mambo Orchestra in 2011 and contributed to their Grammy Award-winning eponymous debut album in 2013. Notable songs include “I Wanna Work For You” from her self-produced album of the same name and “Bolero Cocomo,” co-composed with Aaron Lington for the Pacific Mambo Orchestra's debut.
