Aldious

Aldious, an all-female heavy metal band from Osaka, Japan, was formed in June 2008 by guitarist Yoshi and vocalist Rami. The band released their debut EP Dear Slave in November 2009. In January 2010, drummer Aruto joined, followed by bassist Sawa returning to the lineup. Their first single "Defended Desire" reached Number 4 on Oricon's Indies singles chart and Number 49 on its regular chart. Aldious released their debut album Deep Exceed in October 2010, which peaked at Number 15 on the Oricon Albums Chart. The band's second album Determination, released in October 2011, reached Number 13 and featured the single "Mermaid". In June 2012, Rami left due to health concerns and was replaced by Re:NO. Aldious' third album District Zero (2013) became their highest-charting release at Number 7. The band's fourth album Dazed and Delight (2014) peaked at Number 20, followed by the departure of Aruto in September 2014. Marina joined as the new drummer in April 2015. Their fifth album Radiant A was released in December 2015 and marked their first release on the VAA label. Aldious' sixth album Unlimited Diffusion (2017) featured contributions from all five members. Re:NO left at the end of 2018, followed by R!N joining in August 2019 until her departure in June 2021. After performing with a support vocalist for three years and Marina's departure, Aldious announced an indefinite hiatus in August 2025.
