Al Kooper

This gifted guitarist, then organist, scored his first hit at the age of fourteen ("Short Shorts") and became one of the most popular studio musicians, notably with Bob Dylan. He also played with Hendrix ("Electric Ladyland") and the Rolling Stones ("Let it Bleed"). After a spell with the Blues Project, he founded Blood Sweat and Tears in 1967, but left after the first album. He then divided his time between supersessions, productions (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and his own label, Sounds Of The South.
