AJICO

Ajico, a Japanese rock band, was formed in 2000 as a side project by Ua and Kenichi Asai of Blankey Jet City. The duo decided to create Ajico after collaborating on two songs for Ua's solo work during the summer of 1999. Their debut single "Hadou" was released on November 22, 2000, marking their official entry into the music scene. This was followed by their first album Fukamidori on February 7, 2001, which showcased their unique blend of pop and rock elements. Subsequent releases included the singles "Utsukushii Koto" (2001) and "Pepin" (2001), further establishing Ajico's presence in the Japanese music industry. The band continued to release music over the years, with notable albums such as Ajico Show on July 25, 2001. This album included a DVD of the same name, documenting their live performances and adding a visual dimension to their musical output. Ajico's discography also includes other releases like Setsuzoku, released on May 26, 2021, and Love no Genkei (2024). Throughout their career, Ajico has been known for their energetic live performances and their ability to blend various musical influences into a cohesive sound. Their music has resonated with audiences, contributing to their enduring popularity in Japan's rock scene.
