Aidan Coffey, an Irish traditional accordionist from County Waterford, Ireland, began his musical journey as a member of De Dannan. He recorded with notable Irish traditional fiddle players Seamus Creagh and Frankie Gavin, along with accompanists Mick Daly, Seán Ó Loingsigh, Alec Finn, and Arty McGlynn. Coffey was a key member of the traditional band De Dannan from 1988 to 1995, contributing to albums such as How the West was Won and Jacket of Batteries. His solo work includes collaborations on albums like The Corner House Set, Dublin to Donegal, Island to Island with Seamus Creagh, and Ireland Treasures of Irish Music (Various). He also contributed to compilations such as Folkworld, The Session, and The Rough Guide to Irish Music.
