Ahmad Kaabour

Ahmad Kaabour, born Ahmad Qaʿbūr on July 9, 1955, in Beirut, Lebanon, is a Lebanese singer, songwriter, music composer, and actor. His musical background was cultivated by his father Mahmoud Kaabour, a prominent violinist. Kaabour's breakthrough came with "Ounadikom" ("I Call Out to You"), composed at age 19 during the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War in 1975 and released on his debut album Ounadikom in 1976. The song, based on a poem by Tawfiq Ziad, became one of his most notable works. Kaabour's early career focused on themes related to Palestine and Lebanon, highlighting humanitarian causes through music. He has released several studio albums, including Hob in 1982, Sawton A'ali in 2002, and Baddi Ghanni Lannas in 2010. Kaabour also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as Carlos, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010.
