Adrian Legg is an English guitarist known for his highly distinctive fingerstyle technique and custom hybrid acoustic-electric guitars. He initially studied the oboe but shifted to guitar during his teenage years. In the early 1970s, he won both the composition and performance sections of a Guitar magazine competition, which led to contributions in UK music press and a career in guitar instruction and technical writing, including the 1981 book Customising Your Electric Guitar. His international profile grew with the release of his first US album, Guitars and Other Cathedrals (1988). He has performed at major venues and festivals including Montreux Jazz Festival and toured with artists such as Richard Thompson, David Lindley, Joe Satriani, and Eric Johnson. In 1996 and 1997, he appeared on the G3 tour alongside Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, and Steve Vai. His discography includes albums such as Fingers & Thumbs (1999) and Guitar Bones (2003).
