Adel Tawil

The German record producer, singer and songwriter Adel Tawil was born in Berlin on 15 August 1978. He began his career performing with The Boyz, a boy band created by the music producer Triple M. The Boyz had a top ten hit with "One Minute" in 1998 and after recording a further four singles, the band split up. Adel Tawil's next project was Ich+Ich, a duo he formed with singer Annette Hump. The duo had two chart-topping albums, Vom Selben Stern and Gute Reise with the former being certified six times platinum. In 2007 Adel Tawil embarked on a change of musical direction when he teamed up with the rapper Azad and they released "Prison Break Anthem" which was the theme song from the German version of the US prison drama. Adel Tawil embarked upon a solo career in 2013 with the release of the album Lieder, the album was a commercial success and reached the top five in Germany and was followed up by "So Schön Anders," which reached number one. His third solo album Alles Lebt reached number seven in 2019 and he returned in 2023 with his fourth LP Spiegelbild.
