Adam Neely

Adam Neely, born in 1988 in the United States, is an American bass player and YouTuber. He began playing bass guitar and composing jazz music in high school, inspired by a concert featuring Dave Brubeck and bassist Christian McBride. Neely graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Composition in 2009 and received a Masters of Music in Jazz Composition from the Manhattan School of Music in 2012. He started making YouTube videos in 2006, initially focusing on bass guitar lessons before shifting to music theory education. Neely's notable releases include the EP time//motion//wine (2014) and albums such as polytonal lo-fi (2020). He is a founding member and the bassist of the electro-jazz duo Sungazer.
