A. Chal

Alejandro Chal Salazar, known professionally as A. Chal, is a Peruvian-American singer, songwriter, and producer born on May 30, 1992, in Lima and raised in Queens, New York. He began making music in his teens, eventually breaking out with the self-released 2013 EP Ballroom Riots. In 2016, A. Chal gained critical attention with his debut studio album Welcome to GAZI, which featured tracks like "Round Whippin" and "GAZI" that blended Latin influences with trap, R&B, and electronic production. His distinctive fusion of English and Spanish lyrics continued on the 2017 project ON GAZ, which included the fan favorite "Love N Hennessy" as well as a remix of "Round Whippin" featuring French Montana. This was followed by the EP Exotigaz, released in 2018. Over the next few years, A. Chal expanded his sound through high-profile collaborations, including remixes and features with artists such as A$AP Nast, 2 Chainz, and Darell. After a brief hiatus, he returned in 2021 with the single "High Horse," the first single off the album FAR FROM GAZ, released later that year. Preceded by singles like "Saico" and "Numb the Pain," his fourth full-length album EspĂritu arrived in 2024, followed by the standalone tracks "LALU" and "CHUCO" featuring Los Mirlos in 2025.
