Eightball Aitken, born on June 9, 1981 in Australia, is a singer and guitarist known professionally as 8 Ball Aitken. He began his career playing blues, swamp-blues, swamp-rock, alternative country, and Americana music. His first album Behind The 8 Ball was released in 2004. In 2008, 8 Ball Aitken won Blues and Roots Song of the Year at the Q Song Awards for "Yellow Moon." His third studio album Rebel with a Cause, produced by Garth Porter, featured two top 10 country hits: "Cyclone Country" and "Hands on Top of the Wheel." In 2009, 8 Ball Aitken's song "Outback Booty Call" won Country Song of the Year at the Q Song Awards. His album Swamp Blues was released in February 2018 and included a follow-up instrumental version.
