1VERSE, stylized in all caps and pronounced like "universe," is a K-pop boy band that debuted in July 2025. The group has five members: Hyuk, Seok, Aito, Kenny, and Nathan. Notably, Hyuk and Seok are from North Korea, making them the first K-pop boy group with North Korean defectors. The group was originally known as SB Boyz until they officially announced the name 1VERSE on September 19, 2024. The name signifies "a verse of our lives, a verse in our song—alone we are verses, together we are a song." Before their debut, they shared content on YouTube’s SB Boyz Unplugged, highlighting their focus on education in English, Korean, cultural diversity, and songwriting. On July 4, 2025, 1VERSE released their first official group song, "Multiverse," as a debut pre-release. The track entered Melon’s Top 500 chart at number 14 on the day of its release.
